Vocero Latino News endorse Jack Schron for the Cuyahoga County Executive position
Welcoming remarks by Rebeca Guzman set the tone for the night and the theme was” Opportunities for Latinos in Cuyahoga County is great”.
Rebeca introduced Alfonso Sanchez President of The Sanchez Group who talked about the opportunities going on in downtown Cleveland. Mr. Sanchez spoke about the Hilton Hotel Worldwide Project a project the Cuyahoga County officials added to the convention center, a $270 million.
Al talked about the opportunity to have Latinos learns a trade and a get good paying union job as a result of this project. Union jobs can be anywhere from 40 to 50 dollars an hour. This could be a job where Latinos can learn to make as much as fifty to sixty thousand dollars a year. Al talked about the need to have more Latinos to get in to the union trade. The future union members are going to from the Latino communities and this project can open the door to does good paying union jobs.
The next Presenter was Bernie Moreno owner of The Collection Auto Group one the most successful car dealers in the country. Bernie also talked about the great things going on in northeast Ohio. He stated what Latinos need to do is come together and take advantage of all the great things happening in Cleveland and throughout Cuyahoga county. He stated that Latinos can make the difference in northeast Ohio and one way to they can do so is to show that Latinos are responsible citizens by voting this election. Latinos care about family, community, jobs and have a good work ethic. Latinos need to understand that Northeast Ohio is a great place for all Latinos to have a bright future. We want Latinos to come to northeast Ohio and take advantage of all the great opportunities happening in Northeast Ohio.
The third Speaker was Kevin Goodman Partner at Blue Bridge Networks, a world class SSAE 16 SOC 2 Type 2 third party audited & PCI best practice, HIPAA HITECH assurance data Center Company offering secure Data Center Services and Cloud Computing. He is Involved in the Business Development and Entrepreneurial arena for over 30 years in both the Technology and Construction Industries. Kevin talked about how his parents came to this country from Ireland and work hard to provide a good living for the family and to be a part of the American dream. Kevin said that like the Latino community his family worked hard and saw how important it was to participate in the election process and got involved. Having good people in office can make the difference. He also talked about many things he and his company is doing to create more opportunities for all northeast Ohio. Like their Data Center Services and the Information Technology center. Blue Bridge continues to change its dynamics by adding products and services, thus offering a more total data center solution to its customers.
Theresa Marie representing Vocero Latino announces that the Latino newspaper had decided to endorse Jack Schron for the Cuyahoga County Executive position. She stated when looking at both candidates’ qualification Jack Schron has the most experience and a proven track record of creating jobs. We ask all Latinos to join us in supporting Jack Schron on November 4th. This event was motivating and promising for those who attended. Vocero Latino hopes to bring more events and news to move our community forward.
