Could be the best chance to elect the first Mexican: Michael Rendon

As a Mexican-American, Michael Rendon offers much needed diversity for the Court of Common Pleas, which serves a growing Hispanic population throughout Cuyahoga County. In despite of this fact, there is not a single Hispanic judge at the Cuyahoga County Court house. It is good to see a more than qualified candidate running for Judge who is proud of his Hispanic heritage and understands the concerns and challenges that the Hispanic community faces throughout Northeast Ohio.

Michael believes a lawyer is no more important than the service he or she gives to their community. A judge for the Court of Common Pleas should understand the needs of their community, and Michael Rendon’s involvement in the community will serve him well.

Michael has worked in the Hispanic community as a Board member of the Hispanic Alliance, and as a founding member and former Chair of SABE (Spanish Advisory Board for the Electorate).
“I have helped to financially support organizations like Esperanza and have worked side by side with Hispanic leaders in the community on projects like La Villa Hispana. I have been a long-standing volunteer with the Legal Aid Society and have staffed their Brief Advice Clinics at the Spanish American Committee”. He intends to continue to be active in the northeast Ohio community and to stay closely connected with the Latino community.

Michael was raised in a large, supportive and loving Hispanic American family in San Antonio, Texas.
“My grandfather had a fourth-grade education. My parents worked incredibly hard to provide the educational opportunities for their children that they themselves did not have. Although neither of my parents attended college, my siblings and
I all did, and three of us have advanced degrees. Living the ideal of service to our nation, my father served in the Naval Reserves, I served in the Army, and my three brothers all attended the Coast Guard Academy and spent their careers in the United States Coast Guard”.
Michael’s commitment is for fairness, community service, and justice. These assets can be traced to his love of family. We know that his experience and strong sense of justice will make him a great judge.

That is why we ask you to join us in supporting Michael Rendon for Judge on the Court of Common Pleas. We as Latinos would be so proud to have Michael Rendon elected Judge. Vocero Latino endorses Michael Rendon for the Court of Common Pleas. ¡Tu voto es tu voz!
