Hamilton County Public Health Announces Walk-in Vaccine Clinics

No Appointments Necessary at Board of Elections & Woodlawn Site

Hamilton County, OH – If you’ve been putting off getting your COVID vaccine, now is the time to get it done.  Hamilton County Public Health will no longer require appointments for vaccination at its Board of Election Clinics.  The clinics run Tuesday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., 2300 Wall Street, Norwood.  In addition, today’s 8 a.m. – noon clinic at the Woodlawn Recreation Center, 10050 Woodlawn Blvd. has several walk-up, no-appointment-necessary slots available.

“We piloted a no-appointment clinic and it was an overwhelming success,” says Hamilton County Health Commissioner Greg Kesterman.  “Offering no-appointment clinics should capture some of the folks who have waited to schedule their vaccine. The more people we can get vaccinated, the closer we get to resuming our normal activities for the summer.”

Vaccines will be offered while supplies for the day last.  If the allocation for the day is distributed before the clinic hours end, anyone waiting will be scheduled for an appointment within the next week.

People who would like to secure an appointment slot and bypass the walk-in line can use the ArmorVax app.  Instructions for downloading the app and using it are available at:   https://www.hamiltoncountyhealth.org/covid19/.   For those without internet access or who need assistance scheduling, call 211.

“This is a great opportunity to get that immunity before summer begins,” Kesterman adds.  “We’re anxious to get vaccine to as many as we can.”
