Fifty-six high school juniors and seniors participating in the Look Up to Cleveland (LUTC) Leadership Academy were accompanied by their program mentors for a meet and greet with Mayor Frank G. Jackson in the Red Room at Cleveland City Hall. Mayor Jackson welcomed the students and gave brief remarks about effective leadership, the importance of education and his career experiences.
The LUTC Leadership Academy encourages high school juniors and seniors to participate in a series of leadership development sessions which offers students hands-on leadership training and exposure to Cleveland and our leaders. Look Up To Cleveland’s program is designed to develop and enhance students’ leadership skills while fostering an appreciation for the Northeast Ohio community in which they live.
