Mayor Jackson Names New Cleveland School Board Member: Stephanie Morales

CLEVELAND – Mayor Frank G. Jackson is pleased to announce his appointment of Stephanie Morales to a seat on the Cleveland Municipal School District (CMSD) Board of Education. The appointment is for an unexpired term ending June 30, 2015. This vacancy on the Board of Education was created by the resignation of Iris M. Rodriguez.
Mayor Jackson will swear-in Stephanie Morales on May 3, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Cleveland City Hall in the Mayor’s Red Room.
Stephanie Morales resides on the west side of Cleveland and actively serves on several community boards that assist youth around the City of Cleveland. Ms. Morales is a graduate of CMSD’s John Marshall High School and has earned a Master of Public Administration from Cleveland State University. Ms. Morales is the parent of three CMSD students and the Human Resource Business Partner at Nationwide Insurance.
Four other school board seats will expire on June 30, 2013. Applications for future school board seat vacancies will be made available to the public soon.
