PHI THETA KAPPA HONOR SOCIETY Selects: Tri-C President Alex Johnson for Inaugural Advisory Board

Panel will work with organization on student success initiatives

CLEVELAND — Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society recently announced the appointment of Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) President Alex Johnson to its inaugural Presidential Advisory Board.

Johnson joins 32 other community college presidents on the panel, which will provide input into the organization’s strategic plan and priorities as it works to increase opportunities for student success.

Phi Theta Kappa is the largest honor society in higher education with 1,285 chapters on community college campuses across the United States and other parts of the world.

“Community colleges and Phi Theta Kappa share a mission of student growth through academics and leadership and service programs,” Johnson said. “Serving on the advisory board provides an opportunity to build on those core values.”

More than 3 million students have been inducted into Phi Theta Kappa since its founding in 1918, with approximately 134,000 students added annually.
