Northfield, OH – May 23, 2019 – WFC 107 brings live championship boxing to MGM Northfield Park on Saturday, June 8, 2019. This event follows a sellout crowd at WFC 99 in Northfield on February 23, 2019. Tickets are $35, $75, and $100.
“We’re looking forward to hosting live boxing for the first time ever at Center Stage inside MGM Northfield Park,” MGM Northfield Park Director of Entertainment Randy Maddocks commented. “Northeast Ohio boxing fans have been waiting years for a knock-out event like this and World Fighting Championships always delivers.”
WFC puts Cleveland native and former WBO/NABO champion Antonio Nieves (18-3) against former WBA champion Jose Alfredo Rodríguez (31-9) of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico in an eight-round bout at 118 pounds.
“We are excited to bring world-class boxing to Northeast Ohio with WFC 107,” WFC President Matt McGovern added. “Our last event in Northfield featured a sellout crowd and incredible competition. We have high expectations for WFC 107 and we know that boxing fans won’t want to miss this one.”
Another pro fight puts Ryizeemmion Ford (Alliance, OH) against Darnell Pettis (Cleveland, OH). Alant’e Green (Cleveland, OH) will also take part in a pro bout.
An amateur title fight will take place at 165 pounds as Ben Cottrell (Uhrichsville, OH) takes on Nick Duganier (Cleveland, OH) in a three-round bout.
Other amateur bouts include Ryan Arce (Akron, OH) vs. Anthony Cannella (Cleveland, OH), Travis Charles (Canton, OH) vs. Kenny Brown (Cleveland, OH), Andre Donovan (Uhrichsville, OH) vs. Frank Brown (Cleveland, OH), Terry Demore (Sandusky, OH) vs. KC Austen (Cleveland, OH), Vic Christian (Uhrichsville, OH) vs. Armond Richard (Cleveland, OH), J.R. McElrath (Akron, OH) vs. Brian Sims (Cleveland, OH), Stan Davis (Akron, OH) vs. Christian Juresic (Eastlake, OH), Rock Brown (Alliance, OH) vs. Charles Smith (Cleveland, OH), and Nick Skillpa (West Mifflin, PA) vs. Nolan Stahl (Erie, PA).
Doors are scheduled to open at 7:00 pm with the fights starting at 8:00 pm.
Weigh-ins will take place on June 7 at 5:30 pm at MGM Northfield Park’s Center Stage.
