CLEVELAND — The City of Cleveland and the Division of Animal Care and Control are celebrating St. Patrick’s Day by offering reduced and waived adoption fees for lucky adopters from March 11-19, 2017.
The Division’s “Find your Pit o’ Gold” campaign aims to find homes for the mostly pit bull and pit bull mixes awaiting adoption. Adopters are invited to ‘try their luck’ by reaching into a ‘Pot o’ Gold’ once they have chosen their new family member. Each adopter has a chance to draw a gold coin that gives a discounted or free adoption.
“We have nearly 60 CITY DOGS looking for loving homes,” said Chief Animal Control Officer, Ed Jamison, “We are hoping families will come to the kennel to find a new family member and participate in some St. Patrick’s Day fun.”
Adoptable CITY DOGS can be viewed at www.petango.com/cacc or at the kennel, located at 2690 W. 7th St. Open hours are Monday–Saturday 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m.-2 p.m. Pre-arranged meets are encouraged and can be scheduled by emailing citydogs@city.cleveland.oh.us or by calling the adoption hotline at 216-664-3476.
