The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is reaching out to the community in a new and exciting way. Last month the Greater Cleveland Food Bank began taking their new “Food Assistance Truck” into neighborhoods in need, helping people apply for SNAP and giving away FREE produce.
In addition to helping people apply for SNAP and giving away food, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank can help people connect to one of the Food Bank’s over 700 other programs!
If you or someone you know are in need of healthy food please, call us at 216-738-2067.
About the Greater Cleveland Food Bank
The Food Bank is the largest hunger relief organization in Northeast Ohio having provided more than 45 million meals in 2014 to hungry people in Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Ashland and Richland counties. Our mission is to ensure that everyone in our communities has the nutritious food they need every day. We do this through both food distribution and SNAP outreach efforts. The best and easiest way to help is to go online: visit us at www.GreaterClevelandFoodbank.org.
The Cleveland Food Bank understands that times are tough and money is tight. In order to help Northeast Ohio families the Food Bank has a fulltime staff of Benefit Counselors that can make the application process quick and easy for over 20 programs including SNAP (food stamps), prescription benefits, child care vouchers, WIC, medical coverage, and other assistance programs. Applications options are varied in order to accommodate your family’s specific immediate needs. Any adult of any age may apply. The Benefit Counselors will walk you through the process step-by-step. These programs are available for anyone hat needs them. If an individual makes less then $1,265 per month (gross) they may be eligible for assistance. The income limit for a family of two is $1,705, family of three $2,144 and family of 4 $2,584. Please call us at 216-738-2067 if you need help.
