City of Cleveland Department of Economic Development to Lead “Lunch Mob” Initiative on East 6th Street

The City of Cleveland’s Department of Economic Development announced today that it will be sponsoring a week-long “lunch mob” event May 11th – 15th at local businesses along East 6th Street in Downtown Cleveland in an attempt to encourage Clevelanders to shop, patronize, and support those entrepreneurs affected by the East 6th street closure on April 13, 2015.

The City of Cleveland, along with partners Councilman Joe Cimperman, Downtown Cleveland Alliance, Investment Management Services, and Millenia Companies are encouraging everyone to stop by those affected businesses by purchasing breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, a beverage or other items from their respective businesses during the Lunch Mob week. Patrons can drop off a business card or fill out a contact information card for a chance to win an assortment of gift cards being donated by other local small businesses to be picked during a special drawing on May 15, 2015 at 1:30 pm. The following are a list of businesses where you can enter to win a gift card:

That is why they are encouraging all Clevelanders to “Hit the Bricks on East 6th to Support Our Small Businesses!” the week of May 11 through May 15.
