Cleveland Announces Naming Rights for Cleveland Convention Center

Held at the Cleveland Convention Center on Lakeside Avenue, Mayor Frank G. Jackson was joined by Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish at the Naming Rights Ceremony announcement for the Cleveland Convention Center, which will be called the FirstMerit Convention Center of Cleveland. In addition to the Convention Center’s name change, new signage and logo was also introduced to the public.

This tentative agreement is an example of collaborative efforts being made between public and private entities and is one investment that will support a healthy economy long into the future for Cleveland and Cuyahoga County. This development has created new jobs that support the center directly. It has also created new demand for goods and services that will help revitalize downtown Cleveland, and help transform our downtown into a 24-hour city.

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Cleveland, this center has also been a catalyst which has helped to move this region forward continuing to be a viable asset for the City of Cleveland and the Cuyahoga County. Over the years, the Cleveland Convention Center has attracted multi-day conventions, meetings and trade shows to the downtown Cleveland area.http://www.clevelandconventions.com/
