Winterfest’s holiday magic is taking over the streets of Downtown Cleveland on November 30th, 2013

We invite Cleveland’s residents, visitors, families and friends to kick off the holiday season during Winterfest 2013!

On Saturday November 30, families can enjoy free national entertainment and activities all day long on Public Square, starting at 1:00pm.

Original Winterfest activities include:

1:00pm – 5:00pm – Tour Downtown on free horse-drawn carriage rides. Rides begin at the Cleveland Public Library

2:00pm – 7:00pm – Grab some grub from some of Downtown’s favorite gourmet food trucks. Trucks will be lined up between Superior and Euclid Avenues

2:00pm – 5:30pm – Join Radio Disney as they bring their entertainment to the SW Quad of Public Square. Enjoy fun games, sing-alongs and interactive prize giveaways.

2:00pm – 7:00pm – Shop local this holiday season. The Holiday Pop-Up Shop will be offering locally made unique gift items for the entire family.

5:30pm – Radio Disney will entertain with a show by Cimorelli.

6:00pm – 7:00pm – Join Mayor Frank Jackson and many others as they officialy start the holiday season in Cleveland with the Holiday Lighting Ceremony and majestic firework display.

7:00pm – Immediately after the holiday lighting ceremony, enjoy the free Public After-Party with Santa at the Tri-C Hospitality Management Center on Euclid Avenue. Families can enjoy free cookies, hot cocoa and pictures with Santa. Don’t forget your camera!

The fun extends further out than Public Square; Spend the day exploring the streets and neighborhoods of Downtown, seeing what all of Downtown’s great establishments have planned for the winter:

Huntington presents Winter Wine & Ale Fest

  • Celebrate the start of the holiday season with your friends as Huntington presents the fourth annual Winter Wine & Ale Fest on Saturday, November 30th, immediately following the holiday lighting ceremony on Public Square.

    From 7:30pm until 11:00pm, the lobby at 200 Public Square will be transformed into a grand tasting room decorated for the holidays and featuring more than 20 local craft breweries and regional wineries along with heavy tastings from some of Downtown’s best restaurants.

    Beverages will include hand-picked Ohio ales and regional wine varietals from Ohio, New York, Oregon, Washington, and California. Featured California wines from Clos Du Bois and Rex Goliath wineries

    Proceeds from the evening’s festivities will benefit DCA’s Generocity Cleveland initiative, which funds programs and services provided by DCA and its faith-based partners to the homeless of Downtown.
